The Design Brief

Altin Homes has an enviable reputation for designing and building residential properties of outstanding quality and excellence and Asco Lights are proud to have worked with them on a number of projects. The most magnificent of these is their latest construction on Hilltop in Hale, arguably one of the most prestigious roads in Cheshire.

The brief was to work closely with Altin Homes' design director to assist in the creation of a fabulous new multi-million pound, six-bedroom, six-bathroom residence. The project was to consist of lighting design, the international sourcing of light products, bespoke lighting development, and lighting consultancy from inception and throughout the construction process. Altin Homes demands the highest standards of craftsmanship and, as Asco Lights has worked with developers with similar expectations for years, they knew that their desired quality of finish would easily be achieved.

The Creation Process

Asco Lights provided consultative services throughout the development of this stunning multi-million pound home, offering advice and support to Altin Homes' designers, installers and electrical engineers to ensure that the desired quality and look were achieved.

• Step 1: Client meetings. After the initial lighting design meeting Asco Lights made their designers and consultants available to Altin Homes when and where they were needed. This involved numerous follow-up, advisory, product development, light sourcing, lighting design and instructional meetings both on-site and at Altin Homes' head office.
• Step 2: Lighting product selection, sourcing and development. With six bedrooms and bathrooms, dining room, drawing room, living room, morning room/kitchen, indoor pool and spa, games room, home cinema, gym, steam room, sauna, changing room and numerous other indoor and outdoor spaces to light, including hallways, landings, control room, utility room and landscaped gardens, Asco Lights' designers were kept busy sourcing just the right inset and subtle or opulent artistic masterpiece lighting for the project.
• Step 3: Working with others on the project. Asco Lights produced the lighting design for each space in close consultation with the design director and his dedicated team to ensure that it precisely fitted with the palatial look and feel of the building and met with the client's every expectation. Asco Lights went to great lengths to develop or source precisely the right lighting products to fit with these expectations and achieve a lighting design that suited this built environment.
• Step 4: There to the end. Asco Lights offers an end-to-end service, therefore consultants and designers were on-site and available to clients and their installers and electrical engineers throughout the project to ensure that the finer details and finishes were completed to the same high standards as the rest of the project.

A Vision Realised

Once completed this unique and luxurious contemporary residence was undeniably worth
the multi-million pound price tag that had been placed on it.

• A modern sleek look was achieved throughout, with the extensive use of recessed ceiling lighting that washed rooms with warm and natural illumination.

• The latest LED lighting technology was used throughout in order to create just the right adaptable ambience and mood for each given space, and to satisfy the low energy lighting solution requirement of the brief.

• Asco Lights supported home automation company E-life throughout the project to create an infinitely adaptable and controllable lighting design for each room via an
  advanced but simple to use lighting control system.

• The overall result of the project was a stunning residence that matched both the expectations of the client and the quality of workmanship that they and Asco Lights have become renowned for.
