Ajay Vasdev, Director, Asco Lights

Having left school at 16 to join the family’s established bathroom business after the death of his father, Ajay Vasdev later studied part-time at college for a degree in Business and Marketing from Leeds University.

In 2006, Ajay realised his dream of establishing his own company, Asco Lights, specializing in lighting retail.

Asco now supplies a wide range of high-end products, including Swarovski crystal and Murano glass ranges alongside cutting-edge design from the UK and Europe. Asco has made a name for itself in providing complete lighting solutions for residential and commercial properties, including ‘intelligent’ lighting systems and a bespoke manufacturing service.

With a loyal high-end client base in Cheshire, Ajay also has prestige clients in Mayfair, London and in continental Europe, with his lighting helping win major awards for architects and developers.

“Pushing the boundaries of lighting and being able to light an environment in numerous different ways according to clients’ needs is something I’m extremely passionate about,” he says.
